Other parts of this series:
On April 26th, 2017 leading global insurers will gather in London at the Efma-Accenture Innovation in Insurance Awards to recognize leading-edge innovation with the industry’s key global players.
I am quite excited to be part of the 2017 EFMA Accenture Insurance Awards Ceremony in London, which is now just a few days away, where the winning innovations, products, and solutions at the forefront of the digital transformation will be announced. Now in their second year, the awards recognize those creative innovators who are leading the way in the new era and unlocking new opportunities and areas for growth. It is truly an exciting time in insurance.
This year, the awards committee received 219 submissions from 144 institutions in 38 countries in four categories:
- Best Disruptive Product or Service
- Connected Insurance & Ecosystems
- Customer Experience & Engagement
- Intelligent Automation
Online voting is now closed and the finalists have been selected. Winners will be announced live on April 26th at the ceremony, where they will accept their award, present their innovation journey, and share their experiences and key successes of their innovation. In addition to the four open categories, the jury will also present the Global Innovator Award, a special jury prize that rewards how organisations successfully cultivate a culture of innovation in their businesses. This will be announced at the end of the ceremony.
Accenture is delighted to partner once again with Efma to bring these awards to life. The event should be extremely thought provoking with a number of keynote addresses on innovation. I will be speaking about the top trends in insurance in 2017 and my colleagues, Fabrice Gardette and Piercarlo Gera, will look at the Everyday Insurer. There will also be live voting and a cocktail reception where delegates from all over the world will connect with one another and share ideas.
Accenture will have an Innovation Booth, an interactive demonstration environment which will showcase our robust innovation architecture and highlight leading-edge digital technologies – such as AI and the Internet of Things – that are re-shaping the future of insurance.
I am genuinely looking forward to this exciting event shared with the industry’s most innovative and creative minds and, in particular, the announcement of the 2017 Global Innovator Award. All of the innovations submitted this year demonstrate that leading enterprises are embracing change holistically and actively looking at how to open up new economic possibilities. Best of luck to all the nominees
In my next post, I’ll review the winning innovations.
