Managing a workforce that is partially offshore has its challenges, but look what’s coming next: a workforce of humans and intelligent machines working side by side. Insurers have already identified jobs like telemarketing, underwriting, damage assessment, and claims and policy processing as ripe for automating. The belief is that technology advances will allow intelligent technology to become a team member handling the administrative tasks, while human creative thinkers and strategists concentrate on less routine operations. In fact, most insurers see this coming just around the bend.
