Launched in March 2014, the Accenture Digital Insurer Network (DIN) is a forum for insurance business leaders across Strategy, IT, Marketing and Distribution and Innovation to debate the future digital landscape impacting Insurance. The Network’s second face-to-face meeting took place from 19-20 March at the Accenture Technology Labs in Sophia Antipolis (France). Focused on the Adaptive Digital Insurer, the agenda covered disruptive trends that keep insurers awake at night and the impact of these on business as we know it.
Thomi Meyer our European lead for Insurance and Roy Jubraj, our UKI lead for Digital Insurance led the meeting.
The sessions provided small, collaborative group activities, panel discussions, presentations by expert speakers, thought-provoking case studies and hands-on interaction with cutting-edge demos. 23 delegates attended—from companies including ACHMEA, Alm.Brand, AXA, Catlin Insurance, Covea, Ergo Austria, Generali, Gjensidige, Groupama, Hannover Re., Intesa Sanpaolo, Intrasurance, Mediolanum, Royal London, RSA, Sanitas, Sogecap, TopDanmark, Codan/TryggHansa, W&W Informatik and Zurich Insurance Group
The agenda included discussions about:
- Insurance and the impact of emerging trends.
- Changing customer ecosystems and client value generation.
- How to build a Digital Insurer ecosystem.
- Insights on the implications for Insurers.
- New ways of buying and selling insurance.
- Designing for mass personalisation and hyper-relevance.
- The insurance agent of the future.
Participants also discussed the concept of human value in a digital environment and explored how fast the insurance ecosystem is moving. In my next post, I’ll share some of the insights that arose from the meeting.
