I’m pleased to welcome you to another year of the Accenture Blog on Insurance. Since we launched in 2010, we’ve charted the changes in the industry. When we launched, the conversation was about strategic cost reduction in the aftermath of the financial crisis, the role of data and analytics in insurance, and new-fangled concepts like cloud computing and social media.
Today, the conversation has moved toward sustainable, profitable growth—though the market is every bit as competitive and challenging as it was in 2010—and the conversation around data analytics, cloud computing and social media has moved from “what is it?” to “how do we use it strategically?”
As the pace of change continues, I look forward to sharing industry insights with you. We’ll be kicking things off next week with a four-part series on the mismatch between analytics demand and talent. I hope you’ll join me.
