Rather than simply switching from one channel to the other, insurance consumers are becoming more diversified. They prefer to use different channels for different stages of the buying cycle.
So, as last week we revealed that Consumers prefer to research insurance online, when it comes to requesting a quote and purchasing a policy, Accenture’s US Personal Lines Insurance Consumer Survey found:
- Seventy percent of consumers want a local agent to help.
- Almost 60 percent are confident enough to complete their purchase online.
- Consumers younger than 64 want to receive quotes online.
