Subrogation is a critical part of the claims process, and a key method for insurers to mitigate claims losses. Each year, the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP) undertakes a detailed survey of small and large insurance carriers in the United States. These surveys, conducted for more than a decade, are an important way for participating companies to benchmark their capabilities against aggregated data from their peers—and for NASP to better advise and guide its members on leading practices.
Accenture and NASP have entered into a research partnership around the association’s annual benchmarking survey in 2015. Accenture will conduct the survey, as well as provide results and analysis. This year’s survey will focus on Workers’ Compensation Subrogation.
In partnering with NASP, Accenture will combine our deep digital, industry and survey expertise to create an impactful product with actionable insights. Right off the bat survey participants will see a discernible difference in how the survey is administered. Rather than a paper survey, we will implement the survey in an online, digital format which will streamline analysis and reporting. Participating insurers will receive two copies of the printed study as well as an individualized report with detailed data measuring their results against industry benchmarks.
We expect the completed study to be available in late summer 2015. There’s still limited time to sign up; any interested insurer should drop me an email.
