Richard Pryor

Managing Director, Accenture Life, Pensions & Investments Practice

Richard is a Managing Director in Accenture’s Life, Pensions & Investments Practice. He has over 29 years’ experience in Consulting, the majority in LP&I area supporting most of the major firms in the UK and across EMEA.

He focuses on shaping and delivering large business change programmes across the Operations and IT areas. His expertise is in providing advisory services to LP&I clients, often at the CxO level, across areas including IT strategy, Operating Model / Process Effectiveness, Core Systems Transformation and Business Process Outsourcing Advisory, plus in helping to set-up, shape, manage and assure transformation projects and programmes.

In his early career he helped to build many of the administration systems still used by the LP&I industry, but more recently has worked with many of the current platform providers and also has recent experience of Digital, customer engagement platforms and “new world” operating models

Prior to joining Accenture, Richard spent over 9 years at Deloitte as a senior Director in the UK Life, Pensions and Wealth Management Consulting team where he has worked with most of the major UK LP&I organisations including Aviva, Zurich, Standard Life, AXA, Lloyds Bank – Scottish Widows, Prudential, CIS, Royal London, Cinven and Old Mutual. As part of his role he also supported the Deloitte EMEA network in particular working in South Africa, Ireland and the Netherlands.

He started his career at Andersen Consulting, where he was part of the insurance technology team and during his career has also worked for other niche consulting organisations including his own company and has had significant experience in building and developing consulting practices throughout his career
